Everything’s under control…

Hey, gang! Here at Lunacy Productions, we’re always on the lookout for new, undiscovered talent. Part of that process is reading tons of unproduced screenplays. Sometimes they’re great, other times they still need some work, and occasionally we don’t even finish reading them. If you’re an aspiring screenwriter, you definitely don’t want your script to fall into that last category.

This week, Lunacy’s director of development, Harris McCabe, shares five pitfalls to avoid when writing a screenplay. Keep in mind, there are no “rules” for writing, and sometimes thinking outside the box and doing something different will help your script stand out. But Hollywood readers often have to make decisions on a script very quickly, and making these five mistakes could land your script in the “PASS” pile.

Is this heaven?

No, it’s development.
